Munroe Bergdorf is a Transgender Activist who has recently stated “thrilled to announce that I’ve been asked to be part of an LGBT+ advisory board for The Labour Party and I will advise Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities, Dawn Butler MP, on issues affecting the LGBT+ community and help form and push through fairer and more effective policy change”.
Bergdorf first rose to prominence when she was sacked from a L’Oreal advertising campaign in September when she went online in an expletive riddled rant saying “the white race is the most violent and oppressive force of nature on Earth."
Bergdorf has since become a darling of the BBC and other Liberal outlets. She went on to say: “Your entire existence is drenched in racism. From micro-aggressions to terrorism, you guys built the blueprint for this sh*t. Come see me when you realise that racism isn’t learned, it’s inherited and consciously or unconsciously passed down through privilege.Once white people begin to admit that their race is the most violent and oppressive force of nature on Earth… then we can talk. Until then stay acting shocked about how the world continues to stay f*cked at the hands of your ancestors and your heads that remain buried in the sand with hands over your ears.”
Whilst no one is questioning the Labour Party's commitment to equality this is being seen as rank hypocrisy by many political commentators in that if these racially prejudiced remarks were targeted at other groups in society they would be considered a hate crime. Likewise in a week that saw the Labour Party sell out over the Customs Union they continue to drift further and further away from their traditional working class background in favour of the Liberal Metropolitan Elites.
